Some dry flies just outproduce others and when it comes to brown and brook trout, this bug wins in most situations. We've found this to be a real go-to pattern on wild streams especially brook trout streams. But it's also had great success on tailwaters like the S. Holston, Tuckaseegee, Watauga, and The "Hooch" to name a few. Works great in a tandem rig with a poly CDC caddis as your first fly, then drop this behind it about 12" to 14" and you've covered rainbow, brown and brookie strikes!

Fished March through November in the southeast. Size #14 tends to be a good all-around size, but #16 and smaller works well too. Barbless.

Remember to add a little Gink floatant every now and then and you'll see some great production from this guy.
